French … Read more One of the most beautiful chests of drawers we have had in our collection over the past 5 years. French marquetry chest of drawers, 18th century. Probably manufactured in the dauphiné region. The style of chests of drawers from this region is characterized by their simple, slightly curved design, but often inlaid with various types of wood. This example is crafted from pine and inlaid with mahogany and satinwood. A nice detail is that the top is inlaid with four hearts. This chest of drawers stands on black legs (presumably not original). In very good condition. Most likely restored a few years ago. Dimensions: 111l x 65d x 81h cm See less
