A refined pair of antique "long-neck" art glass vases, produced by the renowned Saint-Denis glassworks (Paris) during the early 20th century. These exquisite pieces are the work of François-Théodore Legras, a celebrated master of French Art Nouveau glassmaking.
The hand-enameled decoration features a romantic forest landscape. The color palette is exceptionally vibrant, showing a sophisticated gradient that transitions from a deep moss green at the base to a warm, glowing sunset orange at the neck. Both vases sit on their original gilded metal bases, cast with elegant Rocaille shell and scroll motifs, which enhance their slender silhouette.
Authenticity & Craftsmanship
True to the artisanal production of the era, these vases display charming, slight variations in size and weight, confirming they were individually mouth-blown and hand-finished. As is common with original Legras pairs, one vase bears the "Legras" signature in enamel on the body, while the second piece is unsigned, serving as its perfect match.
