The figure features simplified, stylized facial features like large, almond-shaped eyes. The design was likely inspired by carved wooden sculpture by artist Mike Bidlo titled "Not Brancusi," created between 1984 and 1985.

The wood has an aged patina with darkened lines and spots. The base is flat with no felt. The number three carved into the base.

This work is a hallmark of Bidlo's "appropriation art," where he meticulously recreates famous 20th-century masterpieces to challenge ideas of originality. This specific sculpture is a reinterpretation of Constantin Brâncuși's iconic Mademoiselle Pogany (specifically the 1913 version).

CONDITION
There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. The wood shows slight wear from age and usage, especially along the corners of the base. The wood has taken on a dark patina from age.
