The carving program is comprehensive and deliberate: fluted columns with lunette details run the full height of the case, a carved foliate band articulates the lower register, and burl panel insets bring figure and warmth to the door and drawer fronts. Raised on bun carved feet, the piece presents a pair of arched doors flanking a bay of three short drawers below one long top drawer — a configuration that is both decoratively coherent and practically generous.
