Attributed to Hank Lowenstein for Gordon International, Italy, a striking pair of postmodern counter stools dating to the 1980s. Featuring substantial rounded wood frames with softly sculpted lines and curved backrests, these stools embody the warm minimalist aesthetic associated with Italian postmodern design of the period.
The stools retain their original Gordon International labels and “Made in Italy” markings. Upholstered seats in a rich rust-red textile complement the light-toned wood frames beautifully and add warmth and contrast to the sculptural silhouette.
Well-crafted and sturdy with excellent proportions, these stools work equally well in postmodern, contemporary, organic modern, or minimalist interiors.
