Really strong portrait etching by Leonard Baskin — one of those pieces that just pulls you in. The line work is loose and expressive but still very intentional, and the face has that heavy, almost sculptural quality Baskin is known for.
Signed “Baskin” in pencil and marked Artist Proof along the bottom. You can see the hand and process in it, which is what makes these so good.
Framed in a clean black metal frame with a wide cream mat — professionally done and ready to hang. Paper shows natural age toning and some light speckling, all consistent with the age and adds to the look.
Leonard Baskin (1922–2000) was an important American printmaker and sculptor, known for his raw, emotional figurative work. His pieces are held in major collections like MoMA and the Met.
