This is a vintage Asian inspired grasscloth coffee table that is newly lacquered in black.
The rectangular coffee table is made of heavy solid wood and wrapped in grasscloth woven into a geometric pattern. The table has a gorgeous Asian modern silhouette with Ming style legs. The table is unsigned but likely made in the United States in the mid-20th century, similar to styles made by James Mont and Baker Furniture Company.
The mid-20th century table is in excellent vintage condition. The table is well built, incredibly stable, and sturdy. Some scars and wear on grasscloth but these are camouflaged by the newly lacquered finish. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the table.
The coffee table measures 48” long, 24” wide, and 22” tall.
