Late 1800s hand crafted papier mache tray by W S Burton. William S. Burton was a prominent London retailer and manufacturer operating out of Oxford Street, known for high-quality domestic ironmongery and decorative items. The tray has a lacquered black finish with an intricate gold sponged border interspersed with delicate green acorns.
The tray measures 31 x 25 inches. It has the makers mark and address on the underside.
