A calming, original oil painting depicting Lake Michigan dunes near Saugatuck, with gorgeous shades of cream, tan, and gray, with bright subjects of pine trees and beach grass. This oil painting is by Michigan artist, Christiana Hoerman (American, 1887-1986), titled "Storm over Saugatuck," and signed by the artist.
Christiana Hoerman was an Oxbow School artist who studied with Frederick Fursman and Albert H. Krehbiel in Saugatuck, Michigan, at the Oxbow School of Art.
This extraordinary framed print is 35" W, 32.5" H, and 1.5" D. The oil painting is approximately 27.5"W and 30.5" H. The painting has not been removed from the frame for examination.
