James Michalopoulos, born in 1951, is a celebrated New Orleans-based artist known for works like this. Formerly an official artist for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, he moved from Pennsylvania to New Orleans in 1981, and his depictions of southern architecture, jazz culture, and French influences have been widely exhibited. This piece was acquired directly from his gallery years ago by Clover’s Cottage and has been cherished in their personal collection ever since. See less
