A beautifully hand painted blue and white chinoiserie porcelain ewer featuring a graceful curved handle, bulbous body, and a flared, wavy rim. The surface is richly decorated with cobalt birds, florals, and scrolling vines, all executed in expressive brushwork characteristic of mid century Chinese export porcelain.
This form — a decorative ewer or pitcher style vase — was produced for Western interiors and is prized for its sculptural silhouette and classic blue and white palette. The piece is unmarked, which is typical of mid 20th century export ware, but the cobalt tone, motifs, and form strongly align with Chinese production from the period.
A striking accent for chinoiserie, coastal, traditional, or grandmillennial interiors. Beautiful displayed on its own or styled with other blue and white pieces.
