Beautiful, striking original oil painting of vibrant, frilly yellow irises on a black background. The contrast between the black background and the bright irises really is dynamic and makes the botanical subject matter pop off the canvas. The texture and techniques displayed by the artist are wonderfully done, making this piece quite a standout.
Displayed in a carved, gilt frame with a laurel leaf border. If the frame isn't your preference, it is easily removed and the canvas (with painted black finished edges) can be displayed on its own for a more modern look.
Sold framed. Unsigned.
