These are striking examples of Mid-Century Modern "crushed" or "chunk" lucite globe lamps, which fit right into the aesthetic of the 1960s and 70s.
These globes are made from irregular shards of acrylic (Lucite) resin embedded in a clear binder. This "mosaic" technique was popular for creating organic, crystalline textures that diffuse light with a warm, amber glow.
