This antique industrial floor lamp features an original early 20th-century wooden surveyor tripod combined with a vintage brass lamp head from the mid-20th century.
The oak tripod is fitted with brass hardware and retains its original tool bag, still containing its original contents. The construction and materials are typical of professional surveying equipment used in the early 1900s. The later brass lamp head has a clean industrial form and pairs well with the tripod base, creating a balanced and functional lighting piece.
Made by Cooke, Troughton & Simms (CTS), a renowned British instrument-making firm established through a 1922 merger of historic companies, this lamp is in working order and shows a beautifully weathered appearance, adding character and historical charm to any space.
