Carved from solid hardwood into a compact, blocky form, it carries the full weight of the material without apology. The top surface exposes the end-grain with growth rings, natural checking, and radial cracking that read like a cross-section of geological time. The deep oxblood red finish soaks into the grain and settles differently across each face of the piece, darker in the crevices, richer where the wood is densest. The color has an aged, almost ancient quality that feels earned rather than applied. Small in footprint but heavy in presence, it works as a stool, a side table, or simply an object worth having. Well suited to maximalist, Brutalist, and warm contemporary interiors. Designed and made in Europe by Logniture, a studio dedicated to turning raw timber into heirloom-grade furniture and objects.
