Teak bookcase with shelves and a closed lower compartment. Made by Bodafors, Sweden, 1950s.
Produced by Bodafors, a historic Swedish manufacturer active throughout the 20th century, this bookcase features a structured structure with an open upper section and a lower compartment closed by doors. Crafted from teak, it features a solid construction and an interior organized with shelves and dividers, some of which are made of glass. The design reflects a transitional phase in Scandinavian design of the 1950s, in which more traditional elements coexist with an increasing formal simplification.
