The plate has a softly waved edge and two raised decorative elements with oak leaves. The earthy glaze in beige, brown, and green gives a warm, rustic feel that makes the plate as decorative as it is functional.

Christer Heijl was a ceramic engineer, designer, and sculptor who played a central role in the start of Töreboda Ceramics in the 1930s
.Christer Karl Karlsson Heijl (1893–1956) was a Swedish ceramicist and sculptor, trained as a ceramic engineer in Germany. He also worked at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg before returning to Sweden.
