A representative piece of the late french art deco movement, this three-light sheaf chandelier testifies to the remarkable craftsmanship characteristic of lighting workshops in the first half of the 20th century.
this three-arm pendant chandelier unfolds a sculptural composition of great decorative coherence. Its generous scrolls, emanating from a central polished brass ring, rise in graceful curves, each supporting a candle holder in the shape of a floral chalice. The central body consists of a sheaf of three textured, ribbed leaves, cast in a single piece, whose surface finish reveals a level of craftsmanship far exceeding that of standard production. The fluted ceiling rose and tulip-shaped fitting complete the decorative vocabulary. Over the decades, the gilded brass has developed a warm, natural patina, with areas of shadow that accentuate the relief of the motifs and lend the piece a depth characteristic of fine period pieces. Simple in its overall silhouette yet rich in detail, this chandelier integrates equally well into a classic interior or a contemporary setting seeking a touch of character.
