Early 20th century English Elkington silverplate hot water pot made for hotel or tea service use. The classic form features a tapered body, hinged lid, and elegant handle designed for pouring hot water alongside a tea service without over-steeping the leaves. Marked to the underside Elkington Plate with date letter 'Q' corresponding to circa 1910, and retailer's mark for A.T. Wiley & Co. Ltd., Montreal.
