A wonderfully tactile, sculptural concrete planter with a distinctly folk art sensibility. The bowl is ringed with a hand-formed scalloped edge—each lobe slightly irregular—giving the piece a soft, petal-like rhythm that contrasts beautifully with the weight and permanence of the material.
The surface shows a naturally weathered, chalky white patina with areas of darker tonal variation and mineral staining, particularly around the stem and foot. The interior retains a more raw, utilitarian finish consistent with use as a planter. The overall effect is organic and timeworn—more garden relic than polished object.
Raised on a simple pedestal base, the form reads somewhere between a classical urn and vernacular yard sculpture. It works equally well indoors as a statement vessel or outdoors in a sheltered setting.
Inside edge of the bowl is approx. 15" diameter; pedestal base/foot is approx. 7.5" diameter.
