Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown sapphire blue over light taupe / tan, and gold flecks, Italian art glass decorative bowl. The piece is documented to designer Archimede Seguso. The technique is called "Doppio Opaco", published in some of his books. Please see the last photo, showing the exact shape published. The bowl was created in 1956. It still retains a worn red scalloped "Murano - Made In Italy" label underneath. The bowl is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf around the outside. The colors create a nice contrast. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, coffee table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, candy or trinket / jewelry dish. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures 6" long x 4 1/2" wide x 1 1/2” high.
