"model 83" armchair designed by nanna and jørgen ditzel and produced by s.w. Møbler, a danish company active after world war ii. Nanna and jørgen ditzel are among the most important scandinavian designers of the 20th century. Active in furniture, textile, and industrial design, they helped define an approach focused on comfort and the relationship between form and body, with a particular focus on seating. This model, dating back to the 1960s, features a wooden frame with slanted legs and an enveloping backrest that follows the contours of the seat, creating a continuous form. The seat and backrest are padded and upholstered in light-colored bouclé fabric. The manufacturer's mark is present on the frame: s.w. Møbler – vejen, denmark. Good condition. May show signs of wear.
