Chalice-shaped vase with a stepped ring-shaped foot, a curved wall opening upwards, colourless glass with milky white and flaky yellow … Read more Chalice-shaped vase with a stepped ring-shaped foot, a curved wall opening upwards, colourless glass with milky white and flaky yellow and reddish flecks, violet powder fusing in the base area, overglaze decoration with yellow enamel in the lower section, highly etched and finely painted with coloured enamel marigold decoration against a satin-finished background and interior, green painted signature 'daum nancy france' with the cross of lorraine on the wall between the flowers.

technique: handmade cameo glass glass overlaid with several layers, with high-cut worked out motifs. Since the middle of the 19th century, the design has also been done by etching.
