1950s Red Wing Futura Golden Viking Divided Tray – Decorative
A rare opportunity to acquire a visually stunning piece from the Red Wing Futura line in the sought-after Viking Gold pattern. This divided relish tray features the quintessential mid-century geometric diamond motif and characteristic speckled glaze. Please note: This piece has undergone a structural repair. While the top display surface is remarkably well-preserved with only a faint hairline fracture, the underside shows visible chips and a clear repair line. It remains a beautiful, stable candidate for hutch display or as a placeholder for the serious Red Wing collector.
The design is attributed to Charles Murphy who was the most significant dinnerware designer for Red Wing Potteries, creating many of their best-selling lines between 1941 and 1967.
