The 9" figure is separate from the 3" x 6" base and rests on two thin metal spikes that penetrate the skater's foot. There is an old glued repair that is stable and supports the skater perfectly. On the underside is an illegible signature of the make and a spurious date. This piece probably dates from the 30's or 40's. A captivating piece of American folk art. See less
