An elegant secretary desk/hutch by Erling Torvits, circa 1960s. Made of a beautiful natural walnut veneer and showcases his signature sculpted “wave” drawer fronts. The layout is compact but super functional, with small drawers, a lockable compartment, and an open shelf up top. The writing surface pulls out smoothly (not hinged) to give you a really practical workspace, with three wide drawers below for additional storage. Finished with curved side panels and tapered legs that highlight that refined mid century craftsmanship. Overall in good original vintage condition with some expected wear from age, including minor veneer imperfections. Drawers open and close smoothly and the piece is structurally sound.
There is no makers mark on the hutch.
