The piece is richly decorated with vibrant hand-painted exotic birds set within lush naturalistic landscapes. The composition is executed in a refined polychrome palette, enhanced by delicate gilding throughout the body and base.

The elegant baluster form is complemented by intricately pierced (reticulated) elements, filled with soft blue enamel accents, adding both depth and lightness to the design.
