The wooden doll has an understated, elegant form with a dark lacquered hairstyle, fine eye lines and a refined decoration of ripening grain stalks on the body.

Dimensions: height 21 cm, diameter 7 cm.

Its compact size and dark, restrained presence make this a beautiful and quiet collector’s piece within the Japanese sōsaku kokeshi tradition. The reverse bears a gift dedication, giving the piece a personal and unique character. Signed on the side and marked with the artist’s hanko on the underside.
