A monumental and architecturally striking TL63 dining table designed by Roberto Poggi for Poggi Pavia in the 1960s. Crafted entirely in solid walnut, this piece embodies a rare balance between mass and refinement. The generous top (260 x 90 cm) appears almost suspended, thanks to the sculptural rhythm of the four legs — arranged in two paired volumes that create a strong yet elegant visual cadence. The legs are the defining feature: thick, monolithic blocks positioned in pairs, slightly set inward from the edges. This configuration generates a sense of both stability and lightness, allowing the table to breathe despite its substantial presence. from certain angles, the interplay between solids and voids creates a dynamic architectural tension, enhancing the perception of depth and proportion. The walnut grain runs beautifully across the top, with a warm, natural tone and subtle variations that enrich the surface. The edges reveal the construction detail, with a slightly stepped profile that adds further depth and sophistication to the design. The table has undergone a careful conservative restoration. As visible in the photos, minor signs of age and intervention remain — small marks, light wear along the edges, and subtle surface irregularities. These do not detract from the piece; rather, they attest to its authenticity and history, preserving the integrity of the original material. Exceptionally solid, elegant, and timeless, this table is a perfect example of Italian mid-century craftsmanship — both sculptural and functional, suitable for refined residential interiors or high-end collectible design contexts. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
