the medallion-shaped backs with scalloped edges are surmounted by a carved acanthus leaf finial. The legs rest on glides characteristic of 18th-century french cabinetmaking. The jacquard upholstery, with a pale green background and miniature pink, red, and gold floral motifs, covers the curved seat, back, and armrests, highlighted with piping in coordinating green velvet. Louis xv style production.

the pair is in excellent condition, likely recently reupholstered. No work is required.
