Gheduzzi was best known for his work as a set designer at the Teatro Regio in Turin, but he also established himself as a landscape painter, painting en plein air in the style of the Rivara school, a Piedmontese imitator of the more famous Barbizon landscape school. The atmosphere of this glimpse of a country village, illuminated by the rosy reflections of the sunset sky, is evocative. The work is presented in a carved and gilded wooden frame, with some small losses. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
