Large Vintage Jozefina Krosno Hand-Blown Art Glass Vase, circa 1980's. Excellent, near mint condition, rich color palette of amethyst, speckled translucent areas with pale blue swirls on the body of the vase. The shaped fluted mouth of the piece shows a pop of the blue opalescent glass which lines the vase interior (cased). The foot rim is clear, the pontil is polished. The piece is unsigned. Purchased from an outstanding collection that included many good Jozefina art glass pieces, as well as the wonderful Haziza and Muniz Mid century Lucite sculptures that I have currently listed.

The Jozefina Factory was founded in 1982 by Jozef Jankowski, a well-known artist and glass blower. Recognized worldwide as a leading European manufacturer of hand blown art glass combining sophisticated, classical and contemporary design with highly skilled craftsmanship. Each piece is hand blown and hand finished. Located in Krosno-Poland, the oldest glass and crystal producing area in Europe. The artistic skill of their master glass artists has been passed down through the family generations, using techniques dating back to the 10th century. See less
