A rare pair of late 19th century English converted glass wrought iron street post lights / lamps. Features a copper hexagonal lantern top with spire finial over fluted molding and beveled glass inserts. The lantern is supported by a large wrought iron post with scrolled accents leading to a round pedestal base. The top has one central socket for illumination.
Procured from a historic 1922 waterfront estate on Orcas Island, Washington. Known for a Hollywood history, once home to Theda Bara and Silent Film producers with John Wayne and others regularly frequenting. The lanterns were brought over from London before being sent to the estate.
