Produced during the formative decades of Brazilian modernism, the chairs embody Scapinelli’s characteristic balance between expressive form and careful craftsmanship.

Each chair is constructed in caviúna hardwood, whose rich tone and pronounced grain lend warmth and material depth to the slender composition. The frames rise into tall, gently angled backrests upholstered in black leather, creating a strong vertical presence while maintaining a restrained and elegant profile. The chairs stand on Scapinelli’s signature tapered “toothpick” legs, subtly finished with brass tips that introduce a refined metallic accent.

The wood has been professionally refinished, bringing forward the natural figure of the caviúna, while the leather upholstery remains in excellent condition. Light signs of age consistent with use are present and contribute to the character of the set.
