Dominici, an Italian-born designer who relocated to Brazil during the Second World War, later established Studio Dominici, where he helped reintroduce European modernist lighting sensibilities to the Brazilian market. By the 1970s his work increasingly explored fluid metal forms and reductive compositions, distilling the lamp to its essential gesture of light, structure, and balance.

The Sonata 3759 is defined by a single, continuous arc of enameled aluminum that rises from the base and extends outward in a graceful cantilever. The elongated curve produces a sense of visual lightness while directing illumination precisely downward, emphasizing the lamp’s functional clarity.
