A charming vintage writing desk from the highly sought-after 'Parfait' collection by renowned American furniture maker, Drexel. Stamped and dated March 1971, this piece features classic French Provincial styling with elegant cabriole legs, a scalloped apron, and gorgeous, ornate brass-toned hardware.
The desk has been updated by a previous owner with a custom dark teal/blue painted finish on the base and a contrasting cream/white top. It features four spacious dovetail drawers for ample storage. While the desk is sturdy and fully functional, the painted finish exhibits charming vintage wear, including visible chipping along the stretcher and edges. It is a beautiful statement piece for a colorful home office or bedroom, ready to be used as-is for a relaxed look, or primed for a custom lacquer upcycle.
