Original dining chair by Tage Poulsen, designed in Denmark in 1974. This model is an excellent example of the transition from classic Scandinavian mid-century design to the more rustic, material-focused design language of the 1970s.

The chair is made of solid, knotty pine and impresses with its warm appearance and vibrant grain. The seat is made of hand-woven paper cord, which gives the piece a natural lightness while also providing excellent seating comfort. The combination of robust solid wood and fine weaving creates an exciting contrast between rustic presence and elegant restraint.

Tage Poulsen was a Danish designer particularly known for his functional and durable designs. His work is characterized by a clear design language and a close connection to nature – qualities that are beautifully reflected in this design.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The wood has minor scuffs and scratches. The paper cord shows patina with slight wear and minor stains – charming and perfectly suited to the character and age of the chair. Sturdy and fully functional.
