A fine and very well made Ladies writing desk in Louis XV style with highly detailed marquetry in exotic woods with bronze mounts. The desk with a slight bombe form opens to reveal a horizontal open compartment above three small drawers, a nearly "secret" sliding door flat compartment and a red flocked writing surface. Bronze mounts to feet and knees and period ornate brass key. Circa late 19th century to early 20th century.
Opens to depth of 27-1/2”. Bombe form top and sides.
