Antique 18th c. cutlery flatware with white porcelain hilt, silver caps and steel blades. The blades marked Boyce. These date from the 1750's.
Blanc de chine porcelains were made in the West to imitate Chinese Kangxi examples. In France the St. Cloud factory made them; in England the Bow factory. Examples may be found in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum. These are heavy and sharp. Good condition - some oxidation of the blade may be cleaned. Knife measures 11" long. We have two more sets listed.
