The scabbard measures approx. 44 1/2 inches long without the end tassels or the folding flap at the large end, and approx. 7 inches wide at the largest end and tapering down to approx. 2 1/2 inches at the smaller end. Native American, Cree (Nehiyaw). Late 19th to early 20th Century. Leather hide rifle scabbard decorated with colorful hand embroidered floral designs including initialed, "G H".
