The … Read more Rare & Original Art Deco Fighting Roosters Automobile Radiator Mascot Hood Ornament on Bakelite Trophy Base for your consideration. The overall dimensions measure approx. 10 inches tall, 5 3/4 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep. The hood ornament alone measures approx. 4 3/4 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. American or Continental, first half 20th Century. Maker unknown. Automobile radiator mascot hood ornament is silvered bronze casting of two fighting roosters (cockerels). The sculpture rests on a multi-tiered Bakelite base. Inside of base is marked, "EDWIN W. LANE CO." "TROPHIES MEDALS" "32 W. RANDOLPH, CHICAGO 1, ILL." "SERIAL # B2701" "DODGE, INC. CHICAGO" "LOS ANGELES NEWARK" "NEW YORK MIAMI". Very good vintage condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. Missing name plate on Bakelite trophy base. As found. See photos. Displays superb!
