Aesthetic Movement Ironstone Transferware Bamboo Pattern Plate by John Meir & Son for your consideration. Each plate measures approx. 10 1/2 inches in diameter. Tunstall, England c. 1880s. Blue transfer Aesthetic Movement design. Each plate is decorated with floral bamboo garden setting including two rectangular framed scenes. One scene is of a butterfly in a floral setting and the other is of an old water mill. Each plate has impressed mark that reads, "IRONSTONE CHINA" and a transfer mark that reads, "BAMBOO" "J. M. & SON". Very good antique condition. No chips or cracks. The plates show wear commensurate with age and use. Light age stains, soiling, crazing, etc... See photos. Displays splendid!
