The skewer measures approx. 7 1/2 inches long, 2 3/8 inches wide and 5/8 of an inch thick. France, late 19th to early 20th Century. Molded silver figural pig skewer. Marked, "FRANCE" on skewer under pig. Hatelets were used for the ornamentation of food, the pig most likely to be used with a pork dish. Excellent antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Skewer is not perfectly strait. A bit tarnished, natural patina. See photos. Displays superb! Would make a great skewer for "hors d'oeuvres or a unique swizzle stick for cocktails! See less
