Crafted in the traditional Southern/Appalachian post-and-rung manner, the chairs possess the warmth, simplicity, and honest craftsmanship associated with early American country furniture.

The frames retain a rich naturally worn surface with visible hand-worked character throughout, including subtle irregularities in the turnings and joinery consistent with traditional rural chairmaking techniques. The woven splint seats display wonderful age and patina, with natural variation and wear that contribute to the chairs’ authentic primitive character.

Both structurally sound and highly decorative, the pair works beautifully in primitive, farmhouse, Americana, wabi-sabi, or collected traditional interiors.
