Magnificent wall mirror reflecting a blend of Florentine and Venetian styles with an exquisitely carved, layered frame. The inner border features carved and incised giltwood with openwork of acanthus leaf extending to the corners over the glass and an intricate lattice pattern on cream painted sections. The outer layer is a muted, soft teal with delicate linear gilt detail and decorative scrolling border. High-quality, oval beveled glass against the rectangular frame beautifully balances the composition of this piece.
