A hand-carved Northern Elm (Yumu) low altar stand from the late Qing Dynasty. Featuring classic everted "winged" ends and traditional nail-free mortise-and-tenon joinery and hand-shaped square tenons on the underside. This primitive piece brings authentic wabi-sabi character and Japandi warmth to modern interiors.
SIZE NOTE: This is a low-profile accent stand (8.5" high) designed as a tabletop riser, floor-level sculpture pedestal, or low bench accent.

Silhouette: Classic everted "winged" ends traditionally used to prevent calligraphy scrolls from rolling off.
Patina: Deep, wax-rubbed golden-brown finish with gorgeous prominent elm grain, authentic tool marks, and historic wear.
