There are many curvilinear elements to this sideboard which lend an art nouveau flair to this piece. This hutch features a top portion with glass doors and two curved shelves, perfect for displaying china or curios. This sideboard is distinctive due the the vertical center portion which includes four drawers, excellent for storing silverware, and a center niche that is surrounded by curved art nouveau style carving. The bottom portion of the cabinet is a classic form with two drawers over two doors, with a shelf inside the bottom portion with storage.
This piece disassembles into 2 pieces for ease of transport, see last photo.
The rich golden pine is waxed, just buff with a soft brush or old t-shirt to increase the shine. An old key locks the top and bottom doors and an additional key is included which serves as a pull for the drawers. This is an old pine piece so there are random imperfections in the wood, which adds to the rustic charm. The old brass hardware is original to the piece. See less
