The mirrors are conceived in a restrained classical format, with softly rounded, molded frames finished in a warm gilt tone that reads as gilded wood or gilded composition over a carved substrate. The surface shows an intentionally timeworn character, with scattered dark speckling, small abrasions, and rubbed passages that create an aged, patinated effect against the brighter gold highlights along the outer sweep and inner sight edge.
