These have … Read more A pair of DU 55 P lounge chairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi and produced by RIMA in Italy.

These have a very light, open look. The tubular steel frame outlines the shape, while the seat and back sit inside it almost like a sling, which gives them a slightly floating feel.

The lines are soft but still controlled, with that balance between comfort and structure typical for Italian design from this period. The wooden legs with brass end caps add warmth and break up the metal nicely.

They’re comfortable to sit in, with a bit of flexibility in the backrest when you lean into it. Not overly deep, but relaxed enough for everyday use.

Width is about 26 inches, seat height around 16.5 inches, depth roughly 24.5 inches, and total height about 31.5 inches, so they’re easy to place without taking up too much space.
