Antique French Longwy Emaux cloisonne enameled ceramic mantel vase or urn featuring a cylindrical shape with a floral grapevine / grapes / berries theme.
Founded in 1798 in Lorraine, France, by the Boch family, the Manufacture des Faïenceries et Émaux de Longwy is famous for developing unique cloisonné enamels on earthenware. Rising to fame under Napoleon I, the factory pioneered techniques around 1870 using black enamel lines to fill colors, creating a signature, vibrant, and crackled look.
